LORD OF THE DANCE creator Michael Flatley has announced he is to don his dance shoes again for a 'victory lap' around Europe for his award-winning show.

The fleet-footed star, who made a fortune from the show, will perform three dates in Ireland as part of a European tour later this year.

Lord Of The Dance has played to more than 60 million people in excess of 60 countries over the past 14 years, although Mr Flatley retired from the show in 1998.

Flatley will be joined by a 40-strong cast, some of whom performed with the show when it debuted.

He said: "I am very excited to dance again. I've created many shows but Lord Of The Dance has a special place in my heart."

Flatley recently completed a successful tour of Taiwan with his show Feet of Flames, which saw up to five standing ovations at performances.

Lord Of The Dance evolved from his work on Riverdance and became a phenomenon in the 1990s.

He added: "It will be different this time around. I've achieved my success and I'm proud of what I've done, this is like a victory lap.

"This time is for my loyal fans who have been there from the beginning."

The show will be at The Odyssey Arena in Belfast on Friday, November 12. Tickets cost £65, £55 & £44.

Flatley will also be at the 02 Arena, Dublin, on November 13 and 14. Tickets cost from EUR59.80 to EUR96.25 and can be booked directly from the venue.

His opening show will be at Sheffield Arena on October 30 and tickets for his British shows go on sale on Friday at www.ticketzone.co.uk
